|A wet and unused corner of the Lalor Primary School Sports Oval was converted into a tactile adventure playground including elliptical shaped timber decks, sand pit, stepping logs, stepping rocks, a grassed berm with ceremonial timber totems and shade tree plantings. A compacted gravel path weaves its way through the playground leading to a Futsal court created out of a disused car park. Adjacent to the Futsal court is an area comprising exposed aggregate concrete with bluestone stepping stone inserts lead to passive seating areas for quiet study/reading. These were constructed under existing established trees which required careful and fully documented procedures to ensure TPZ of the trees were protected. Overall the project spread across an area of approx. 120m in length. Access required the project to be completed in a well planned coordination to ensure finished work was not impacted by on going construction.
